**Position Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing patient onboardings and wellness check in's and preparing the patient’s record to be submitted to a licensed pharmacist for clinical review. You will interact directly with patients, explaining processes, collecting necessary information, and ensuring they are well-prepared for their chronic care management journey.

**Key Responsibilities**
- High level of computer proficiency and literacy.
- Attention to Detail
- Adaptable with a zest for learning new softwares and methods.
- Capable of independently maintaining and troubleshooting all the necessities of working remotely (equipment, applications, internet, etc.).
- Perform patient onboarding remotely, including explaining the Chronic Care Management process, gathering patient information from clinic progress notes, inputting medications, allergies, vaccinations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients to ensure they understand their role in the care plan.
- Clearly and concisely document details of a patient's health history and current condition.
- Collaborate with Clinical Leads (pharmacists, nurses, dieticians, etc.) to ensure smooth transitions for patient care.
- Maintain organized and accurate patient records using Google Drive.
- Capable of independently prioritizing tasks and managing time.
- Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Keyboarding skills of 50 wpm
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Current, valid, and in good standing a Nationally Recognized Certified Medical Assistant license.
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse certification AND HIPAA certification (may be accomplished after interviewing but must be completed before Start Date).
- Experience with Google WorkSpace and Zoom and willingness to master.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CMA in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of Prescription medication names, uses, and dosages.
- Strong clinical understanding of chronic disease states and medication management.
- Experience in patient-facing roles, with the ability to communicate medical information clearly.
- Quiet, distraction-free, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable equipment with 8 gigB of RAM and internet with minimum speeds of 100 mbps download and 10 mbps upload. Must be able to independently troubleshoot equipment and internet problems.
- Proficient with Google components (calendar, email, cloud/Drive file storage).
- Ability to work between 35 to 40 hours per week during traditional business hours to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Experience in remote employment (strongly preferred).
