JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Social Media Marketing Specialist will work closely with the marketing manager, other marketing team members, as well as cross-functional partners and company leadership to create engaging content for Citarella’s social and new media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new medias and ways of connecting with audiences with our brand.

  • Managing social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, You Tube, TikTok and other relevant platforms creating channel specific content
  • Evaluate emerging platforms, reporting how they would contribute to the Citarella social ecosystem as well as how they would drive potential sales
  • Partner with and manage social media agency
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and media agency to create/optimize an ever-evolving promoted post plan
  • Oversee the creation of social media visual content – continually enhancing imagery to be relevant, defining the social brand aesthetic/lifestyle and growing follower base
  • Ownership of influencer relations and brand partnerships
  • Support the planning and execution of photo & video shoot needs
  • Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Partner with Leadership to develop linkedin content and presence for the brand
  • Create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Cultivate influencer and brand relationships creating mutually beneficial programming with measurable results
  • Partner with and oversee social media agency
  • Research audience preferences, discover new trends and stay current with platform offerings
  • Lead social media management of brand activations, events, community management, day to day engagement and messaging
  • Develop innovative social media campaigns in an effort to increase engagement and grow audience
  • Analyze and report audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects, posts, stories
  • Propose new ideas and concepts for social media and marketing content to drive store and web traffic
  • Work with marketing and other Citarella team members to coordinate social/digital ad campaigns to drive awareness of markets, e-commerce and Citarella experts.
  • Use timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize
  • Communicate social and marketing plans to all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate conversations with customers, respond to inquiries, report on fan/customer commentary/feedback
  • Assist in the organizing promotional events and support socially as well as attend/support them
  • Ad hoc projects/tasks as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Marketing or Social Media Marketing Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5 to 7 years of experience working in social media or closely related role -food industry is a plus
  • Proven work experience in Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, TikTok, and Influencer Relations
  • Exceptional social video editing skills and the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategies and platforms
  • Ability to grasp upcoming trends and technologies
  • Exhibit sound judgment to determine potential crises and ability to determine need to elevate within the organization.
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mac applications, Internet Browsers, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule. Hours may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, may be required to lift weights of usually 5 – 30 pounds.
  • Other duties may be required as needed
