Role Description

As a Telepharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for all daily pharmacy operations, with Pharmacist oversight occurring from a separate Supervising Pharmacy location. Telepharmacy Technicians build upon the responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician and are focused on managing day-to-day operations, execution, and performance while delivering operational and service excellence.

  • Operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.
  • Demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture.
  • Oversee the safe and secure operation of the Remote Dispensing Pharmacy.
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Complete all tasks related to controlled substance prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
  • Complete inventory activities as directed by the Telepharmacy Technician Team Leader.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace a growth mindset.
  • Serve as a peer mentor for the onboarding, training, and development of new hires.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services when the pharmacist is on-site.
  • Support immunizations, including completing additional licensure and training requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
  • 1+ years full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; CVS Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
