LATAM VFX Coordinator id-21652

This role supports the Latam VFX Management team across a variety of duties spanning all projects within the region. As a Visual Effects Coordinator at Netflix, you will be responsible for providing direct support to the VFX department for all areas of operations. We are looking for someone who has enough experience and intuition to see a show as a whole and help to set it up for success and can anticipate how and when to engage actively to keep it on the rails.
You will serve as a liaison between Netflix VFX teams and external production partners to assist in onboarding and delivery. To be successful in the opportunity, you’ll need to have an understanding of VFX/production/post-production workflows. Your proactive approach will allow you to play a central role in understanding our cross-functional partners from across the studio and know when to engage. You will be a sounding board as a partner to the VFX Manager, provide organizational support, lead the onboarding process, and bring innovation to improve well-established workflows.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help to design, standardize, and implement new workflow/tracking methods for projects to ensure transparency of progress.
Review meetings and agenda for the week, create a call agenda, and take notes during meetings.
Supports VFX management team in tracking external documents like VFX breakdowns, schedules, and weekly progress reporting.
Maintain folder structure and ensure that documents are flowing into the correct applications and folders for each series.
Align and set up documentation needed for each show depending on the VFX complexity.
Liaise with both the internal and external VFX teams and partner with Netflix’s internal production teams to trigger and ensure successful onboarding of shows and VFX personnel into the Netflix ecosystem
Facilitates VFX reviews with creative teams and relays feedback as needed.
Ongoing guidance for tech support with Netflix tools (MPS, Shotgrid, Prodicle)
Confirm Final Deliverables to Partner.
Offboard crew and ensure wrap deliverables.
Works with application developers and provides feedback to help improve and evolve studio VFX tools & workflows.
Requirements:
3-6 years of experience as a Studio, Vendor, or production VFX Coordinator.
Knowledge of digital video file formats and a technical understanding of the visual effects process.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment overseeing several projects at various points of the production cycle.
Repeat experience with breakdowns and overall scope assessment
Comfortable in highly volatile and creative environments
Familiarity with databases, Google Apps, and other task-tracking methods, such as Shotgrid & Syncsketch
Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mentality and a strong problem solver. A love of data and efficiency through using technology.
Bilingual in both English and Spanish, can demonstrate ease in speaking to VFX in both languages
Remain calm and confident under pressure, cope well with fast-paced environments and short deadlines, be adaptable, use initiative, and have a positive attitude.
